New Rochelle contains two adjacent opportunity zones, bounded by Elm Street to the south, the Metro-North train tracks to the north, Memorial Highway, Church Street and Centre Avenue to the east and Ancon Avenue, Manor Ridge Road and Weyman Avenue to the west. The two zones are divided by Main Street..
Mount Vernon’s single and relatively small opportunity zone is bounded by 4th Street to the south, the Metro-North train tracks to the north, 1st Avenue to the east and 5th Avenue to the west..
Densely populated Yonkers has three opportunity zones in its western section, all west of Saw Mill River Parkway. The zones go as far north as Lake Avenue and as far south as St. Joseph’s Medical Center. All three opportunity zones are either bounded on the west, or intersected, by North Broadway. Warburton Lofts is located in the western-most Yonkers OZ, bordering the Hudson River..
Similar to New Rochelle, Port Chester contains two adjacent opportunity zones. They are bounded to the south by Boston Post Road and Purdys Avenue and to the west by the Byram River..
White Plains has a single opportunity zone in the area surrounding the courts and the County Government Center. Maple Avenue and White Plains Hospital are furthest south. The north is bounded by Hamilton Avenue, the west by Church Street and Mamaroneck Avenue, and the east by Bank Street and South Lexington Avenue..
Valhalla’s opportunity zone is bounded by Saw Mill Parkway on the west and Bradhurst Avenue on the east. Grasslands Road / 100C constitutes the southern border, with Saw Mill River Road and Stevens Avenue at the north. The area includes the Westchester County Correction facility, along with the 652-bed Westchester Medical Center, and its affiliated university, New York Medical College..
The Cortlandt opportunity zone is almost exclusively comprised of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Hospital campus, which is part of the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System. It is located in the Montrose hamlet within the town of Cortlandt, bordering the Hudson River..
Peekskill’s opportunity zone contains the city’s downtown shopping and dining district, as well as the area just east of the downtown. The zone is bordered on the north by Paulding and Howard Streets, on the east by Finch Street, on the south by Crompond Road and on the west by Union Avenue, Haddon Street and St. Mary Street.
